Finally

I've had this New Year's resolution since last year...sell something online, specifically, open up a store on Etsy.com. Etsy is a place where lots of people create handmade items and sell them to the public. I did my research, created my "works of art" and have placed some of them online to sell. I'd love to know what you think! My shop name is Sweetlee3 (based on my 3 kids and my last name...and how sweet they all are, most of the time)

Here's the link!

Let's See...

what HASN'T happened in the last month?

I thought I'd do a quick, one-shot per "episode" blog just to let you know what's been going on in our house this last month. I'm sorry for all of you who have checked over and over for new postings and have been disappointed. I've been trying to start an online store (a small one) and it's been taking up some of my time.

So, without much ado, here is our life in the month of May...

*We adopted a pet...well, we stole it out of Grammie's garden...and then Grammie printed out a booklet on how to raise it to adulthood (thanks again, mom: I never thanked you for that one.)
And it's still alive for all of you that are wondering. God, any time you want to change it into a moth, I'm ready.

*I discovered a diva in the making when my baby discovered her sister's hat. I guess the hat comes with the attitude.
*We shared some tea...
*went on a scorching "hike" with the girl scout troop in the hills. Funny thing, the leaders made it sound like we were going on a "small hike (said with chuckles like it was no big deal)" and then it turned into a potential 2 1/2 mile long trek. Luckily we stopped at a mile. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the "guide" asked who wanted to be the snake spotter. Um, anything that has to do with me stepping on a snake before anyone else? no, someone else can take that job.
Halfway through our hike.
*Cousin Helen came into town,
and we went to dim sum with her.
*Mikayla got her ears pierced which was something she wanted to get done since her birthday in March.
Once she had them pierced she announced, much to mommy's happiness, "getting my ears pierced is better than getting a dog!" *whew*
*Then I saw Mikayla's musical. After all of that practice, a year of learning songs, Mikayla had her debut...behind the curtain...the WHOLE time. I'll stop there because I could say a whole lot more...
*Lynnea copied her sister but got a double piercing (ok, it's just fake...but you knew that)
*Mikayla had her open house,
and Grammie and Gramps came to see all of her schoolwork.
*Tyler dressed in Mikayla's nightgown one night when Will was gone in a meeting. I'm not worried; seconds later he was in his own pj's, tackling his sisters.
*we went shopping and everyone tried on their own sunglasses.
*Lynnea finally got her hair cut. I cut off 3 inches and it still looks long. This was the before shot. The after shot doesn't look much different.
*And last but not least, we celebrated Caitlyn's birthday when she came down to go to Disneyland.
What a month! Hope you caught a glimpse of all the excitement! We're ready for summer coming in one more week!
